Washburn Center for Children wanted this year’s annual report to visually communicate how they transform children’s futures in a positive way. They wanted the message delivered in easily digestible (“scannable”) bits of information, rather than through long, copy-heavy paragraphs. They also wanted elements created in such a way that they could also be used in a social media and print campaign throughout the year to reinforce their transformational message.

To achieve this, I used typographic and photographic treatments that convey movement and transformation. I broke the copy into small blocks of text with visual markers to guide the eye and used infographics to illustrate statistical information. Several elements from the report can now be used in different ways to continue sharing the transformational message throughout the year.
